We gave a proper local pub an online presence to match: great food, space to celebrate, and a warm welcome for everyone (dogs included).

The Plough had everything a great local needs. It just wasn't showing up online. We set out to change that.

We started with positioning, not pixels. Before any design work, we got clear on what The Plough stands for: a proud local at the heart of Marland, where the food is taken seriously and everyone gets looked after. That gave us three things to lead with: fine food, venue hire and a calendar of events that shows how lively the place really is.

The pub was already paying for an online booking platform but barely using it. We built it into the heart of the site, so booking a table is never more than a tap away. The result is a smoother journey from “fancy going out?” to “booked,” on a phone, a tablet or a laptop.

A local that's built to grow

Pubs change week to week, with new menus, new events and new ideas. So we built a site that flexes with the business. The team can keep it current without calling us every time something changes, and it still looks sharp on any screen.

The events pages do a lot of the heavy lifting. Quiz nights, live music and get-togethers are front and centre, showing The Plough as a fun place where people (and their dogs) are well looked after. Venue hire gets its own space too, so parties and celebrations aren’t left as an afterthought.
