Stonehouse runs pub restaurants right across the UK. Same logo, same colours, same look from one end of the country to the other. That’s the point of a chain. It’s also the problem. When every site looks the same, it’s hard for any of them to feel like your local.
The brief was to fix that for the Stonehouse at the Sandbrook in Rochdale. Keep the national brand people know, and give the pub something that belonged to Rochdale.
Feels like your local. Looks like Stonehouse.
We didn’t touch the brand. The logo, colours and voice stayed exactly where they were. What we added was a seasonal layer on top: designs built around the pub’s own calendar, so the local team had something that felt made for them, not handed down.
From Santa to the Easter Bunny.
We crafted seasonal branding to get people through the door for events, across social media and print. Christmas needed two very different looks. For the kids: bright, daft and fun, with make-your-own pizza, a disco and a visit from Santa. For the grown-ups: something richer and more festive, for the Christmas jumper quiz, the Christmas market and a Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day tie-in.
Then came Easter. A fresh look for the children’s party, same pub feel: make-your-own pizza, face painting, glitter tattoos and a special visit from the Easter Bunny.
The upshot? One set of artwork that works on a poster, a flyer or a phone screen. Local where it counts, Stonehouse all the way through.
